Please read this notice carefully before purchasing. By placing an order with Amino Bound, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the conditions below.
1. Status and Intended Purpose of Products
Products designated Research Use Only (RUO) by Amino Bound are supplied solely as materials for legitimate laboratory, analytical and research purposes.
These products are not supplied as medicines, medicinal products, foods, food supplements, cosmetics or general consumer products.
Research compounds are not intended for human or veterinary consumption or administration, including by injection, ingestion, inhalation, topical application or any other route.
Amino Bound is not a pharmacy, healthcare provider or medical clinic and does not prescribe or supply medicines.
2. No Medical or Therapeutic Claims
Nothing published by Amino Bound should be interpreted as a claim that a Research Use Only product can diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or mitigate a disease or medical condition.
Information concerning compounds, mechanisms, published research or areas of scientific investigation is provided for general research-reference purposes only.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Research Use Only products have not been presented by Amino Bound as holding a UK marketing authorisation as medicinal products.
References to scientific studies or areas of research do not constitute medical advice, an endorsement of human use or evidence that a product is approved, licensed, safe or effective for a particular clinical purpose.
3. Who May Purchase
Purchasers must:
- Be 18 years of age or older and legally capable of entering into a contract;
- Purchase Research Use Only products for a legitimate research, laboratory or analytical purpose;
- Have the appropriate knowledge, experience, facilities or professional supervision necessary for the products being purchased; and
- Ensure that the purchase, possession, storage, handling, transport and disposal of research materials complies with applicable law and appropriate safety procedures.
Amino Bound reserves the right to request further information regarding an order or its intended research purpose where reasonably necessary.
4. Prohibited Uses
Research Use Only products supplied by Amino Bound must not be purchased or used for:
- Human or animal consumption;
- Self-experimentation;
- Injection, ingestion, inhalation, topical application or other administration to humans or animals;
- Medical, diagnostic, therapeutic or veterinary treatment;
- Manufacture of food or food supplements;
- Manufacture of cosmetics or consumer products unless the product is separately and expressly supplied for that purpose;
- Household use; or
- Any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.
Research Use Only products must not be relabelled, repackaged, marketed or resold in a manner that falsely presents them as medicines, treatments or products intended for human or veterinary administration.
5. Certificates of Analysis & Independent Testing
Where available, Amino Bound provides Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to support transparency and provide analytical information concerning the relevant research material.
Where a certificate identifies a particular batch or sample, its results relate specifically to the material identified on that laboratory report.
A Certificate of Analysis:
- Does not convert a Research Use Only product into a medicine or consumer product;
- Does not constitute approval or authorisation for human or veterinary use;
- Does not constitute medical, therapeutic or safety approval; and
- Should be considered within the scope and limitations of the analytical tests actually performed.
Analytical results may vary according to sampling, laboratory methodology, storage, handling, testing conditions and other relevant factors.
COA Pending
Where independent testing for a particular product or batch is still in progress, the website may display:
COA Pending – Independent Laboratory Testing in Progress
This means that a current certificate has not yet been published. Once the relevant laboratory report has been received and reviewed, we aim to make it available through the appropriate product or certificate section.
6. Purchaser Acknowledgement
By completing an order for a Research Use Only product, the purchaser confirms that:
- They are aged 18 or over;
- They have read and accepted this Research Use Only Notice;
- They understand the Research Use Only status of the product;
- They are purchasing it for a legitimate research purpose; and
- They will not use the product for human or veterinary administration.
Where our checkout system provides an acknowledgement or acceptance box, completion of that acknowledgement may be recorded with the order.
7. No Medical or Administration Advice
Amino Bound does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment recommendations, prescribing advice or personalised medical advice.
For products designated Research Use Only, Amino Bound does not provide instructions or recommendations for human dosing, injection, ingestion or other human administration.
Information appearing on the website concerning scientific literature or laboratory research should not be interpreted as instructions for personal use.
8. Handling and Responsibility
Research compounds may present risks when improperly handled, stored, transported or disposed of.
Purchasers are responsible for ensuring that appropriate facilities, knowledge, procedures and safeguards are in place for the lawful handling of the materials they purchase.
Following delivery, purchasers are responsible for appropriate storage, handling, transport and disposal of research materials, subject always to rights and responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Refusal or Cancellation of Orders
Amino Bound reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably believe:
- The purchaser does not meet the requirements of this policy;
- A Research Use Only product is being purchased for an inappropriate or prohibited purpose;
- Further information reasonably requested regarding an order has not been provided;
- Fulfilling the order may breach applicable law or regulatory requirements; or
- Fraudulent or otherwise unlawful activity is suspected.
Where an order that has already been paid for is cancelled by Amino Bound, any refund due will be handled in accordance with our Terms & Conditions and applicable law.
10. Liability and Statutory Rights
Research Use Only products must only be used within their stated intended purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amino Bound accepts no responsibility for loss or damage arising from deliberate misuse or use of a Research Use Only product outside its stated purpose.
Nothing in this notice excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in this notice affects a consumer's applicable statutory rights.
